MSI Travel Award
The goal of this award is to create research collaborations between physics faculty at minority serving institutions (MSIs) and physics faculty at graduate-degree granting institutions. To facilitate this process, the APS Bridge Program (APS-BP) is offering one-time travel awards for faculty and undergraduate students to travel to collaborating institutions, for the purpose of establishing lasting research and academic collaborations.
Successful proposals will demonstrate how establishing a collaboration with a particular institution will benefit students from ethnic/racial minority groups that are historically underrepresented in physics. The successful proposal will also show how the institutional connection will be sustained after the grant period.
Grants up to a total of up to $5,000 are available, for a period of one year. Deadlines for applications are rolling throughout the year.
